FAQ.

Is MINI competing in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) again in 2013 ?

Yes. As in 2011 and 2012, the MINI John Cooper Works will continue its success in the FIA WRC in 2013. WRC Team Motorsport Italia will be represented at all 13 rounds of the WRC with the MINI WRC. In addition, the Prodrive WRC Team will also line up with the MINI John Cooper Works WRC at selected rounds of the WRC, while other private teams will also make individual appearances throughout the course of the season. As such, MINI fans are again in for a real treat in 2013 – no matter which WRC event they visit.

What form will MINI’s involvement in the WRC take in the future ?

The long-term homologation of the MINI John Cooper Works WRC, which was issued in 2012 by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), guarantees that the car can be used at the highest level of rallying, and in other series held in accordance with FIA regulations, right up to and including 2018. Prodrive is responsible for assembling and supporting the MINI John Cooper Works WRC customer cars, and will continue to work together with the BMW Group on the further development of the car.
